I am so glad you stopped by!  I’m Charity Higgins Johnson, a four-times over expat (3 continents), educated as a linguist. A writer since 1962. I speak Spanish, Swahili, and Indonesian, all three are precious souvenirs of having living in other countries. Each move broke my heart because, of course, you can only really be in one place. I was spoiled by these hard but wonderful moves. In some ways, I’m not a typical native-born American because of my overseas immersion, yet in so many other ways, I am.
