Earth Crammed with Heaven
(The author is referring to Moses:)
… Earth’s crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
But only he who sees, takes off his shoes,
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries,
And daub their natural faces unaware
More and more from the first similitude.
•Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806–1861) – from “Aurora Leigh”
This poem is by Alfred Lord Tennyson? It has always been one of my favourites..

Sorry, but I don’t think so… (though I’ve been known to be wrong).
